SEGGER J-Link debug probe fully validated for STMicroelectronics’ StellarStudio
SEGGER and ST worked closely together to ensure robust, high-performance support for current and future Stellar devices, with J-Link integration identified as a priority from the outset. Key J-Link features include up to 4 MB of download speed into random-access memory (RAM), fast download directly into flash memory at full speed, and the ability to set an unlimited number of breakpoints in RAM or flash memory.
“Adding J-Link to StellarStudio gives automotive developers a proven, high-performance debug probe to maximize efficiency,” said Erik Loehr, Product Manager J-Link at SEGGER. “This milestone reflects our long-term commitment to the automotive market and our dedication to delivering reliable, fast software development tools at competitive prices. The speed and versatility of the SEGGER J-Link makes it the first and best choice for use with StellarStudio.”
To ensure ongoing compatibility, STMicroelectronics has integrated multiple J-Link probes into its automated validation center in Le Mans, France. This setup helps ensure that future Stellar devices on ST’s roadmap receive timely, reliable J-Link support through the continued cooperation between the two companies.
“The integration of SEGGER J-Link strengthens STMicroelectronics’s tool ecosystem for automotive customers and accelerates development workflows for Stellar-based designs,” said Laurent Hanus, Ecosystem Product Marketing Manager, Microcontroller Division, STMicroelectronics. “SEGGER’s J-Link is now a validated option for engineers using StellarStudio.”
