Overview

The RS232 add-on board extends the emPower V2 evaluation board with a serial communication interface. It connects to one of the board's three expansion interfaces (J500/ExpIF0, J501/ExpIF1, or J502/ExpIF2).

Equipped with a female DB9 connector, the module can be connected to a PC directly or via a USB-to-serial adapter. A straight-through serial cable can also be used.

The module is suitable for evaluating serial communication applications, including the Modbus protocol using SEGGER emModbus.
